Jill Oralevich, a seasoned retail executive with a passion for design, founded EDITS to merge strategic thinking with refined visual order. With over 30 years of experience in fashion retail, merchandising, brand strategy, and home design, Jill brings a rare blend of operational expertise, creative vision, and a deep understanding of both lifestyle and consumer behavior. Her approach combines strategic precision with design thinking, aligning product, process, and presentation to create functional yet visually refined spaces and systems.

What began as a childhood love of organizing closets evolved into a lifelong passion for structure, aesthetics, and systems. Jill’s career began at Bloomingdale’s, where her eye for merchandising took shape, and flourished through ten years as a Buyer at Bergdorf Goodman, mastering the art of product curation and luxury presentation. She later served as Divisional Merchandise Manager at Lester’s, overseeing multi-million-dollar buying divisions, private-label product development, and a full-scale buying office operation. Along the way, she also worked in her family’s bespoke millwork company, designing kitchens, baths, and closets — experiences that deepened her appreciation for space, flow, and craftsmanship.

This foundation inspired the creation of EDITS-NY, a hybrid consultancy that merges retail strategy with luxury home and lifestyle organization. The company helps retailers, boutique owners, and private clients align product, process, and space with purpose and precision. From optimizing inventory and merchandising systems to transforming closets and interiors, EDITS delivers environments that function beautifully and reflect refined personal or brand identity.

When she’s not curating a product line or redesigning a closet, Jill values spending time with her friends and family. She lives in Roslyn, NY, with her husband, David, their two sons, Noah and Ben, and their Labradoodles, Belmont and Blu. She enjoys summers on Martha’s Vineyard, reading, playing Canasta, and a perfectly chilled Diet Coke.
